Very disappointed in quality because it changed. 9 months ago the fish sticks were thicker; had taste this time the sticks were so skinny barely any fish I want a refund! Viki
Quality diminished-sticks changed to barely any fish inside the breading. Before the sticks were half inch thick and now sticks barely 1/4 inch.
No flavor! No flavor! Barely any fish inside breading! Tooooo expensive for so little fish.

Fish sticks
- Purchased a big box of fish sticks for almost $10.
- They look good on the box but are thin, breaded, with little meat.
I had purchased a big box of your fish sticks and paid almost ten dollars for them. Of course, they look delicious on the front of the box.
But when I got home and pulled them out, they were like thin French fries.
False advertisement, and it's all bready, no meat at all! Horrible product.

Poor quality fish, soggy interior
Unlike the pic on the box, the meat is not flaky and light. It is mealy and soggy.

We opened the box of what says 6 fish fillets and only have 5 full fillets and a small bite, which is being counted as 6. That is ridiculous considering the box says 6 fillets and the cost of them is not cheap.
Not happy about that at all. This is not the first time this has happened to us, and now we are contacting the company.

QC for Beer Battered Fillets

- We enjoyed the fillets; they're pretty good.
- We reported this to Quality Control.
I purchased your Beer Battered Fillets at Walmart. Although the package said 10 fillets, there were only 9.
FYI.
We enjoyed the fillets and my husband asked what kind they were; he said "they;re oretty good!"
So, although we normally buy Gorton's fish fillets and the bag was short one fillet, overall we're okay.
I only wanted to bring it to your Quality Control Department's attention.

- Van de Kamp's fish was mushy pollock.
- About half the weight was mushy breading.
- The product is from the same company as the poor frozen dinners.
Van de Kamp's was a long favorite brand in the somewhat dicey frozen seafood category. I had recently had a bad experience with some formerly trusted frozen dinners.
My wife brought home the Van de Kamp's fish, which I was looking forward to. Was I shocked! First, it was mushy pollock, the cheapest 'human consumed' fish I know of. Then, a good 50% (my estimate) of the weight was equally mushy breading, which had browned very nicely in the oven.
Pretty presentation, but prison food quality. On a hunch, I checked to see who made it. Same company that made the (now) terrible frozen dinners. I could just cry.
I hate being scammed, and I hate my old favorites going in the sewer because of greed and total disrespect for consumers. They could be laughing at us because black soldier fly larvae is probably next on their agenda.

The only thing “cheap” was your wife buying garbage, frozen boxed seafood. Next time buy it fresh at the seafood counter.
Bad experience with your jumbo fish sticks

Bone in my frozen filet's

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. Meijer grocery store give me a full refund. I never heard from company.
I bought the beer battered fillets because the packaging states the fish is 100% whole fish fillets, not true. I prepared them according to the package instructions, and not only is the fish mushy, but fishy tasting. I wish I could give a no star review.
